Summary

AthFest is booking at least 7 Sonicbids artists for the 2019 festival taking place June 21-23rd. All bands will be compensated $100.

Note: In-state applicants (Georgia) are offered a $5 discount on the "Finalize Application and Pay" page.  Use coupon code "INSTATE" to apply the discount to your submission. You must be a resident of Georgia to use this code or your application will not qualify. 

The Opportunity

Founded in 1997, AthFest draws 25,000 people over 3 days. This year's fest will feature two outdoor stages as well as a Club Crawl, which begins as soon as the outdoor stages close. The club crawl takes place across 15 venues throughout downtown Athens and at least two Sonicbids artist will be selected to play as part of it.  A minimum of five (5) in-state and two (2) out-of-state Sonicbids artists will be selected to perform at the festival.

AthFest Educates is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that produces AthFest, an annual music and arts festival in downtown Athens, Georgia that showcases the Athens area music community.

Past Performers Include:
Nappy Roots, Futurebirds, Guadalcanal Diary, The Black Lips, Patterson Hood, Kishi Bashi, Reptar, The Whigs, of Montreal

The Band

  • Georgia artists in particular are encouraged to submit
  • Open to all genres

The Gig

Details:

  • 30-60 minute sets
  • Indoor and outdoor performances
  • Some backline provided on outdoor stages, none for Club Crawl
  • Professional sound and lighting provided at outdoor stages and venues
  • Sound engineer provided by AthFest
Additional Compensation Details:

  • All bands will receive a $100 stipend as well as wristbands for the event
