Born & raised in Venice, CA. I've seen a lot. It's like the tale of two cities. Outsiders are drawn to the area for the beach atmosphere, medical marijuana and girls in bikinis. But a few blocks away from paradise is a strong local legacy that has been passed down for five generations. Never before has an artist "made it" from this community... out the water rises Famous.
Mix influences based in golden age hip-hop with the aesthetic from pop/rock in the 70's, ushered by a new age alternative sound that is almost hypnotizing. I tell real life stories of a young black man fighting to keep a positive vibe in a world that works to break so many of us. From my best friend being murdered, losing my first love and falling out with friends as I try to navigate through life as an independent artist. I've been told my rap style is conversational. It's easy to get into my verses because it feels like i'm talking to you as a friend. My music has no borders, no age-restrictions or judgement: just the priority of universal truth and a willingness to keep an open mind.
Over the years we have had a taste of success. Getting radio play from 102.3 KJLH in Los Angeles and 107.5 WGCI in Chicago. Headlining shows at The House of Blues, The Troubadour & Double Door.
It's been a long road up until this point. Funny thing is, we're just getting started...
