Emerson Windy

Emerson Windy began behind the controls producing music for talent like Snoop Dogg, Waka Flocka Flame, Crooked I, Three 6 Mafia, OJ Da Juiceman, Lil Niqo, Glasses Malone, and Tha Realest. Motivated by the promise he made to his late mother to “…keep going and do something special in this world”, Emerson Windy started writing that story and emerged on his own as a recording artist in early 2012. Coming out the gates swingin’, it wasn’t long before Emerson Windy was showing up on industry radars. In May 2014, Emerson Windy released his debut album Herojuana on Datpiff.com which includes a list of heavy hitters such as Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Raekwon, Birdman, Tooley Wopp and Hofa Bang. Production credits include Timbaland, Mike Will Made It, DJ Mustard, !llmind, Sonny Digital, T-Minus, Jazzfeezy and The Nominees.

His video “Peace Pipe” was debuted on WorldStarHipHop.com and immediately went viral, gaining over 14 million views within the first five days.

Continuing that success Windy released his follow up single and video for “Black America” which was exclusively premiered on HipHopDX.com. Industry writer Soren Baker sat down to hear the motivation behind this powerful record. Check out the interview here.

Emerson Windy continues to push the limits not only of his music, but has been innovative with product and marketing creating something never before seen in hip hop. He’s developed the first known weed scented scratch-n-sniff CD. When asked about the concept Emerson Windy said, “It just seems fresh, never been done, and a cool way people can interact more with my music.” Because of his unique sound, and fresh ideas, in a very short amount of time Emerson Windy has amassed a loyal fan base known as the Windyian Nation that continues to grow all over the world.

Windy’s Love Of Philanthropy

Homelessness
An active philanthropist, Emerson Windy continues to practice the activities he and his late mother would take part in from as early as he could remember. Emerson continues to raise awareness around the issue of homelessness with his #STOPHOMELESSNESS Campaign. Windy stays active working with non profits like “Im My Own Blessing” making sandwiches for the hungry and DoSomething.org who covers a multitude of social issues. There are many more things close to Emerson Windy’s heart that he will be active in pursuing, using his voice as a celebrity to encourage everyone around him to take part in.

Cancer Research & Cure
Emerson Windy has a very close and personal reason to find a cure for cancer. After his mother’s passing Windy partnered with FM station Magic 92.5 and Cruise For The Cause and donated a fully restored 1963 Chevy Impala from his very own collection to raise money for The Emilio Nares Foundation. This organization raises money for families that have children with cancer.

The CHRONICles of Weedman Windy
Born from his love of cannabis and a desire to share the amazing qualities of this plant, Emerson Windy has launched web series “The CHRONICles of Weedman Windy” whose mission is to educate  and redefine the way cannabis is viewed. With more states legalizing marijuana and more resources being added daily, Windy continues to share a 360 degree view of this plant. Stay tuned for the launch in 2015.
