Bio
Dave Whaley is a Singer-Songwriter from Raleigh, North Carolina. He started writing songs on guitar in High School, directly inspired by his guitar playing parents who sang and played for him throughout his childhood.
While attending college in the mountains of NC, Dave helped form a band called Grace. Grace performed both covers and original songs (many penned by Dave). After returning to the Raleigh area, Dave began performing solo acoustic gigs in the Triangle area. Soon, he began putting together another band, which led to a recording project.
Released in 2005, Eudaimonia was recorded in Raleigh, and mixed and edited by renowned producer/engineer, Chris Stamey at Modern Recording in Chapel Hill. Inspired by iconic songwriters like Van Morrison and Jackson Browne, as well as many of the artists of the burgeoning Americana scene of the 90s in the Triangle area, Eudaimonia is a reflection of Dave's love for acoustic-based roots music.
After a brief hiatus and move to Hawaii, Dave has reconnected with his passion for writing and performing, and is currently working on a new record.
