-IF WE HAVE TO PICK ONE.
We''d say more than just PICK CATO...Cato's relevance to HITLAB is an inspiration to all multi-tasking individuals/groups on the lab today.
Cato is a jack of all trades...his potential/growth is displayed throughout his catalogue...This isn't a biased opinion due to our collaborative effort...This is an honest opinion.
Cato's work ethic must be celebrated.
The TOP 10 on the lab today are often overlooked for their successes in the real world...That's what blogs are for.
Getting to the TOP 10 isn't by fluke.
Need we say more? - Educated Thugz-HITLAB.COM/UK
The cd was banging i enjoyed it, my whole block was hopping to it keep up the hard work dawg your going to make make it and go far. the beats was tight, i was most definately feeling the whole album! - Joel Brown-www.cdbaby.com
Love the flow of the album and how the tracks are in an order that makes it seem like a complete album and not a whole bunch of songs thrown together...I've followed all other albums by Cato and this by far raises the bar for all of his upcoming albums...Great job on changing up the flows and having amazing HOOKS! Love the harmony and melodies that you are using! Can't wait to here the next album! - Willey Freese (CDBABY)
So exactly WTF is WTF? Musical genius is the first thing that comes to mind. Cato has really outdone himself with this album. Listening to his music since he first started putting albums together back in college I have witnessed first hand that each and every time he sets the bar higher and higher and never fails to blow the expectations out of the water. The first track “I’ll make it” really sets the precedent for the album. It basically puts the listener in Cato’s shoes for a typical day in the life of this rising star. In the chorus it states “It’s my destiny, I gotta go out to the world and show that I’m gonna make it”. Personally, when I put on an album and can’t help but listen to it on repeat, that album is by someone who has indeed “made it”. The collaborations on this album were a strategic move by Cato that proves that he is confident in his talent and is a smart business man by branching out and going worldwide with his business partnerships. For instance in the track “ Across the Pond” he collaborates with Manchester’s very own Educated Thugs in a track that spans “From the UK to the U.S” worthy of being played in nightclubs in NYC, London, or anywhere in between. It just makes you want to move, it really hits you with its beat and lyrics. The versatility of Cato and his music really shine in this album where you can relate to the songs riddled with anything from anger to bliss, and even love. Cato just wears it on his sleeve with WTF. If someone were to ask me to pick a favorite track, it would be impossible, I love the whole album. My favorite lyrics from the album come from the track “On Lock” in which Cato says “The only thing that itches is my writing hand Mr.’s” because it goes to show that there is more to come from this superstar. If you haven’t heard the album yet, you need to. Once you turn it on you won’t be disappointed and I guarantee that you, like me, will be hungry for the next album. Keep that writing hand itchy Cato, much love.

In summary the album is just that... an album...it plays like an album with the correct song types and feels...More so the appeal in every song catches you somehow from start to finish...Clever use of special guest collaborations sees it play comfortably to your ears...not your typical rap album...Cato clearly from this record understands song structure and delivery...Hard to pick a favourite song...it really is...Cato would be welcomed in the mainstream circuit for bringing a refreshing taste of what has been missing in popular music today...that taste of appeal. Bio
Cato is quickly becoming a well known throughout the Midwest. As a performer, whether headlining, or providing direct support for national touring acts, Cato always shakes the crowd with his electric style and energy. With the release of Afterhours in the Spring of 2013, Cato merged pop, electronic beats, melodic hook styles, and the lyrical prowess we have grown accustomed to expecting all onto this ten track mixtape. The broad range of sound and talent in each track allows Cato to successfully perform both hip-hop and rap, as well as up-tempo pop and EDM music. Hosted by DJ E-V, Mike Posners touring DJ and MGKs mixtape DJ, After Hours has successfully blended these genres of music into one fusion of crowd jumping, stage diving, and energetic showmanship making Cato extremely versatile for any show. During 2012, Cato opened for a sold out Timeflies show, Sammy Adams, Mike Stud, toured nationally with Huey Mack, and performed with Chicago's Na Palm. He co-headlined a sold out Vans Warped Tour Going Away show with Mod Sun and has rocked festivals throughout Minnesota as well as co-headlined University of Minnesota Duluth Homecoming. In 2013, Cato performed at multiple Jake Miller shows, again with Timeflies for a sold out show, a couple of ChrisWebby Bars on Me shows, and a show with Kid Ink and MGK. Since the release of his mixtape HiPOP in 2011, he's reached over 500,000 cumulative views on YouTube. His most recent YouTube hits include Jump & Mosh featuring Midwest Selects and Dawn Hardy and Party Started.2014 has started out with a bang for Cato.
