Expect delicious spadefuls of Heart, Led Zeppelin and Janis Joplin with this gnarly blues rock number from Wisconsin rockers Bourbon House. Spearheaded by smoky-yet-strident siren Lacey Crowe, it's the kind of music that doesn't know whether to flirt with you or kick you in the teeth – and we mean that in a good way. - Louder Sound
Better than the BRITS and the Grammy’s this October saw the third year of our world-famous awards. Eleven awards were up for grabs this year which were hotly contested between the brilliant artists that have featured in the past year on our BANDwagon shows.
BEST HARD ROCK & METAL 1. Evening Optimist 2. Dark Stone 3. Bourbon House - Radio Wigwam
The song is driven by the gritty crooning of the four-piece’s charismatic frontwoman Lacey Crowe, along with the slide guitar talents of Jason Clark and hard-hitting drumming of the John Bonham-like Ryan Sargent. - Pure Grain Audio
“Devil on My Heels is a song about the destructive side of grievance and was written in response to our track "Keep Your Head" from our new upcoming album. The goal was to write a song that’s infectious, groovy, heavy and timeless but with a deeper lyrical meaning.” - Gigsoup
What we take away most from that era of music is that the bands simply set out to write a good song. That’s what we want to do, regardless of genre, guitar tone, instrumentation or message. That’s why so much music from that time is timeless. Eliminating the specifics allows for more room to be creative, even when the song is simple. There is also a raw essence to that era, and we always hope to capture that in our music. We have tools now that make this a little easier and we can certainly polish up the recordings better but we always retake something instead of editing it if it didn’t turn out the way we hoped. It keeps the music genuine. - Vents Magazine
Bourbon House is inspired by classic 60's and 70's hard rock like Led Zeppelin and Janis Joplin. Their main drive is to create guitar driven psychedelic groove rock. They pull that off thanks to the awesome guitar work of Jason Clark, the solid drum work of Ryan Sargent and the stellar vocal by Lacey Crowe. - Alternative Addiction
“Music In Your Bones”, there’s no way to lie without having music travel with you wherever you are, it’s a part of you whether you like it or not. Bourbon House brings back Rock ‘N Roll to the nitty gritty sound that we came to love: the distortion, the power chords, the heavy riffs, the angst in the vocals, the list can go on. The one fact that stood out the most was the use of an effective riff that truly catches the attention of the listener to be on the edge. Think back to Smoke On The Water; it’s a simple riff that is as heavy as they come. It’s got the power behind every strum to capture the audience within its waves and bang your head to. Personally, music will always be in our bones, no matter what genre or year we’ve aged, music makes us feel more that we actually are. We have our human senses, but music takes you beyond your senses, to a world of your own that is guided by the imagination that’s influenced by others. When we heard the solo for the first time, the electricity was flowing though our veins and giving us temporary paralysis, leaving us stuck to the doing of Bourbon House. - We Sound Strange
Passionately inspired by the classic 60’s and 70’s hard rock sound of rock pioneers Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, and Deep Purple, Bourbon House is on a mission to create songs that are infectious, timeless and with a unique yet familiar blend of hard rock, blues and psychedelic grooves. - Volatile Weekly
