Borrowed Trouble is a 3-piece funk rock band comprising Jeremy Hatch (guitars, keys, vocals), Dayv Cabrito (bass) and Kyle Reed (drums). Founded in 2013 and based in Oakland, California, the band blends rock, blues, soul, and funk into a unique but timeless sound. Top influences include the New Mastersounds, the Meters, Dr. John, Bill Withers, Booker T and the MGs, and Medeski Martin & Wood. Their set features original compositions by the band alongside covers of classic funk tunes.
Borrowed Trouble has brought their captivating, energetic, and inventive performances to clubs, cafes and outdoor markets around the greater San Francisco Bay Area for the past two years, logging about 150 shows between Sacramento and San Jose. Their shows project the passion with which all three members are devoted to music and performance, and the joy they take in their musical interplay. Each show is a memorable experience.
