In the industrious city of Akron, OH, somewhere between nostalgia and daydreaming arose a band named Blue Hour. The debut release “The First Warm Day” longs for late nights of self-reflection and gives hope for what you can make with what you have at your fingertips. The record was a complete DIY project made by childhood friends, Justin Mills (Vocals, Guitar) and Nick Kovacs (Producer, Multi-Instrumentalist). The two spent many late nights adventuring the soundscape, laughing and creating music that was originally initiated by Mills’ mental health processing. They paired together again for Blue Hour’s follow-up EP titled “If You Can’t Find The Sunshine”. The single titled “Serotonin” releases March 26th and “If You Can’t Find The Sunshine” releases April 9th. Now, Blue Hour is tirelessly focused on creating a memorable live show for the post COVID-19 era. The energy, drama, originality, and dynamic range that Blue Hour brings to the table keeps listeners on the edge of their seat. Blue Hour is looking forward to connecting with new audiences, keeping their noses to the grindstone, and developing music that others can apply meaning to. The best is yet to come, but they are on their way.
