Formed from within the shadows that move through the city of Los Angeles, Black Magic Beach Party has reanimated some of the best parts of ’60s Surf and Retro Rock with a macabre twist and have been delivering heavy doses of reverb-drenched Dark Instrumental Surf and Vintage Garage Rock to audiences across Southern California.
Inspired by the sonic creations of The Ghastly Ones, The Cramps, Messer Chups, The Ventures, and Dick Dale, along with elements of vintage Exotica, Striptease, and horror film themes, Black Magic Beach Party conjures up their own unique brand of Horror Surf Rock.
In preparation to follow-up the 2015 release of their debut single, “Not The Girl Next-Door”, they are now planning to go in the studio to record their collection of all-original Horror Surf/Garage tunes. With live sets including both original compositions and classic surf & retro rock favorites, Black Magic Beach Party will be sure to offer up delicious compositions for Tiki and Surf/Retro Enthusiasts, both human and monster alike, especially those with a strong tendency to celebrate Halloween for, at least, 12 months a year
