The perfect album to listen to when you are in the mood for some lively, rousing, straight-up no-nonsense meat and potatoes rock’n’roll done with plenty of infectious go-for-it gusto and a winning dearth of pretense. The robust vocals hit the stirring spot. Ditto the ceaseless snappy tempos and constant kickin’ beats. The arrangements are tight and tuneful, with ringing guitars, dynamic thundering drums, and gutty basslines keeping things hoppin’ and exciting throughout. Favorite song: the ferocious funky “Radio,” which totally goes to town on a deliciously tough and hard-diggin’ groove. A neat little album. - jersey beat
this richy varied, sweetly melodic and impeccably arranged album keeps defying conventions and predictability in a similarly surprising and rewarding fashion, clinching the whole deal with warm soothing vocals, heavenly harmonies and an affably nice and positiove uplifting sensibility. - Joe Wawyrzniak
billy's cd "5" is a wonderful collection of peppy rock with some style. The first four songs of this five song cd are pure rock, verging on sounds of the Spin Doctors. But its the 5th song that shows that they have more diversity. That 5th song, "St. Mary," is a wonderful rocking song with banjo. It proves that this band is more than just a rock band; its a band that has talent. - Hipnosis Magazine

Bio
Sprung from the roots of the seminal punk bluegrass band, Seigobillies, the four person tandem known as Billy has become one of New Jerseys most versatile and loved bands. The songs hold the essence of great rock and roll — melodic vocals, catchy hooks, tight harmonies, with rhythmic and often introspectively poetic lyrics. Live shows are energetic and loads of fun — billy songs span the spectrum from edgy rock and shoe stomping, punk-powered bluegrass all the way to melodic, roots-inspired ballads.
Known for their use of diverse instruments including guitars, banjo, sax, and Irish bagpipes, billy has been called “refreshing” by Jersey Beat Magazine and “one of New Jersey’s top live bands.” Having had songs on such TV shows as MTV’s Road Rules Challenge, billy is excited to announce the release of the band’s third full length album, Hey Spaceman.
