Bio
Bel Holiday is a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, body positivity model/activist, amateur actress, children's music educator, and a punny genius (in her opinion) from the NYC Metro area. Her style can overall be described as indie-rock, but she enjoys infusing elements of pop, jazz, folk, and theatricality (being a huge fan of the domain) into her work. Her greatest musical influences are Lady Gaga, Janis Joplin, and Beth Hart.
Bel has just finished recording her debut EP, Watermelon. Her favorite song that has been produced is “Watermelon,” and she has lots of other music that she wishes to share with the world.
She can regularly be seen frequenting open mics and songwriters’ showcases throughout Manhattan and adjacent parts of New Jersey, and takes every performance opportunity in stride. Bel has received awards such as the Rising Star title at the Westchester Jazz Forum Arts Vocal Jazz Competition (2013) and the Grand Prixe at the West Park International Music Festival (2019).
Most recently, she opened Khrystyana’s notable “The Real Catwalk” with an original pop song about reclaiming one’s own body. Bel's most recent larger-scale performance was at DROM, and you can find all of her upcoming performances on her calendar.
