BLA-A-AM! The drum beat is louder than the Dresden Bombing but for fans of the Highland Capital's favourite heavy metal stormtroopers, that's exactly how it's meant to be.
Armed with a set of high-octane, armourplated riffs and bruisingly brilliant songs like Destructive Rituals - which starts off brooding then races to a breakneck crescendo - and fists-in-the-air anthem Depravity, the local five-piece wastes no time in conquering the crowd.
Within minutes of Soveriegn Wasteland's destorted chords ringing out, mayhem errupts. Girls dressed as fairies are head-banging like crazy and the temperature has rocketed so much sweat is running down the walls.
Frontman Burns - that's just Burns, the Zombies don't believe in first names - can throttle his vocals from a deep growl to a full throated roar but by the end of this blazing gig, when he leaps into the crowd, it's the fans who are roaring. For more.

THE STORY OF ZOMBIE MILITIA'S METAL MILEAGE!
Inverness in 2008 saw two bands fortunate demise. From the ashes of ICA Award winning Napoleon Syndrome and fellow nominee, Deviate, a metal band was formed.
Making a powerful sound and creating a break-neck live show, a strong following has begun to support the band in their regular Inverness appearances. The strength of the following has led to Zombie Militia being nominated for the 2009 ICA Best Band Award.
Zombie Militia set themselves apart from the rest by playing the music they feel is missing from the metal scene. They have chosen to not conform to the current band wagons or trends within the genre. The musicianship of the individual members allow the band to master their music into a technical live show with raw power.
Zombie Militia draw their influence from the defining bands of the genre. Bands such as Pantera, Machine Head and Sepultura. But also drawing on the modern influences of Lamb of God and Slipknot. The influence is not purely from the music these bands have produced but also the energy and presentation of their recordings and live shows.
