The Morality Players perform music about the night life - the underserved denizens of an imaginary lexicon of tragic heroes and two time losers.The trials and tribulations of these characters, resplendent in ignominy, laid bare and raw for all to see and hear. Ranging from tender ballads to parlour romps and toiling stomps the band grinds its mechanical way from the depths of the emotional abbatoir into the clear moonlight in time to get a draft of that just-about-to-rain smell.Streetwalking cheetahs with hearts full of napalm, they deliver Nineteenth century rock and roll as authentically as can be reasonably expected. And there is banjo.
