Y'z Council

Born Rayshawn Grissom in Cleveland Ohio, "Y'z Council" grew up in a happy home until an incident of child abuse led to a near death experience. This brought about a life long battle with anger and fear. In an attempt to start a new life Y'z Council moved from Ohio to California. By the age of sixteen, Y'z Council was trapped in a lifestyle of drugs and partying; which brought about great depression in his life. In another attempt to start over, Y'z Council moved from California to Michigan where his disobedience led him to be homeless. This was not the end for him, at his lowest piont with nowhere to go; the Lord used a man to speak into his life and open up his eyes. For the first time in his life he knew what path to follow, a lifestyle yielded to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Impact Records is the fruit of the Lord impacting the Y'z Council life. With the mandate to reach the world with the Gospel, Impact records does this through the medium of Christian Rap Music. It is our hope that God would be glorified through biblically sound lyrics and excellent music production.
