Nice instrumental introduction. Vocally, the singer has an excellent pitch, tone and range. I can see this song being popular in the mainstream music industry. This song has the potential to be successful, and I can imagine this getting good air time over the radio. A nice song, written beautifully and performed well. I really recommend this quite highly.

I like the vocalist's voice. Melody gives a "sinister carnival" feel to it. Dramatic, dual directional and unsettling. Like a slightly scary nursery rhyme. These are all good things. Good song writing. Imaginative use of the rhythm section, very cleverly implemented. I like it. - SoundOut

The start of the track is very relaxing and the instruments used compliment each other beautifully. The voice is rather unique and mellow. I love this track. It could be a number one all over the world. The track makes me feel very close to the artist and means a lot in general. The way the drums are played very occasionally is very clever. I hope you guys make it. Absolutly fantastic.

This is an original, dramatic song with touches of sinister forboding about it. Imaginative use of instruments. A writhing melody, the emotion comes through quite clearly. Sounds discordant in places, giving an unsettled feel. I like it. Complex melodies. - SoundOut

Bio
2010 was the Banjo year for Years of Dust. It was the year that Thomas (lead singer & songwriter) and Henrik (songwriter & producer) were playing around in their studio with some old songs of theirs. Out of nowhere came this "shot in the dark" - a riff played on a banjo. At first the two friends laughed it off but the intense and haunting sound of the riff kept coming back and it ended up playing (no pun intended) a major part in one of their songs.
Years of Dust started out as a studio project. Both Thomas and Henrik had loads and loads of songs just lying around not being used. From the very beginning the ambitions were to build up their own universe of music that would grab their own hearts, satisfy their own ears - yet still be very recognizable but at the same time difficult to PUT IN A BOX.
Thomas & Henrik explains:
"We were very focused on bringing acoustic instruments into our songs during recordings because we wanted our music, our songs, our lyrics to bring the listener back to the early days of rock and roots music - simplicity and honesty were the keys.
The unique sound that is now associated with Years of Dust is mainly dusty and insisting but at the same time fragile and porous.
We like to capture and maintain that specific moment of sadness, hope and love in the sound of our music and give every single song that special feeling that each and every one of us can relate to".
After a year of writing and recording Thomas & Henrik found Emil (drums) and Bent (Bass) and Years of Dust was formed.
Yeas of Dust has experienced an explosive campaign on both Facebook and Reverbnation - Hitting more than 120.000 followers and counting on Facebook in a matter of a few months.
