Bio
Like many Christian hip-hop artists Xedus started out using his ability for the glory of himself. Eventually, the Lord made it clear why he was given the ability to rhyme; it was to please the Lord not to impress others. Xedus has pursued Gospel Rap over the course of five years. Within that time he has developed tremendously as an artist improving drastically in the areas of lyrics and delivery. His mentality is that every song should be quality because it is for the Lord. Xedus’ songs deal with real life problems. The sin nature, and his personal struggles.
For the first few years of development as an artist Xedus made his own beats. The songs he wrote were not great, but helped him develop his craft. While attending a Crossmovement concert he met fellow artist Soulwinna1 who introduced him to Lazarus. Together they formed the group the Remnant. The group performed at Liberty University, The Jubilee Center, at the church of Pastor John P. Key, and other local churches. The Remnant put out a compilation mixtape titled The Encounter. The group ended after six months due to schedule complications. Despite the split of the Remnant Xedus kept his ties with both Soulwinna1 and Lazarus. Xedus has traveled with Soulwinna1 to perform at Living Water Baptist Church in Georgia in both 2006 and 2008. Xedus has performed at Lazarus’ church Power of God, and is currently recording his first mixtape, Project PR, in Lazarus’ studio (S.I.T.E. Records).
