Hailing from outer space and beyond and transplanted to the musical hot bed of Athens , GA, W O O D F A N G S makes corn-fed, southern psychedelic space Rock. A sound entrenched in Spanish moss, swamp mud, mosquitoes, and kudzu. 2011 was a good year for WOODFANGS. It all began with the WOODFANGS EP released in April produced by Futurebirds’ Thomas Johnson. A fearless 6 track banger that reveals a young curious band. Voted “Best Start-up” in the 2011 Flagpole Music Awards, Woodfangs hit the road, and shared the stage with Futurebirds, Pocahaunted, Dexter Romweber, and Paterson Hood.

W O O D F A N G S sole mission is to defibrillate the waning heartbeat of American Rock and Roll. A fearless one way ticket to the heart of the American Dream. The band consists of drummer Paul Stevens, a jack of all trades and senior in UGA’s percussion program. The captain of the Millennium Falcon Mr. Elliot Anderson, a Nashville native and classically trained Violist. Vocalist and guitarist John Harry, a country boy that claims that his biggest influences are yellow starburst and Damo Suzuki. Lastly but not leastly keeping it real on the low end, Alan Lee, a young Jedi with dark side tendencies whom the force is strong with. Hide your wife and kids, W O O D F A N G S, takes no prisoners
