Sonicbids is in Round 3 of their Bonnaroo Battle of the Bracket contest to send a band to play Bonnaroo and there aren’t that many bands left. In this contest, upstarts use their fresh and infectious jams alongside their social medias to try and rack up enough support to get onto the illustrious national bill at Bonnaroo. Local Boston natives Wonder City are one of those few bands to make it through to this stage of the game and are pushing hard to try and represent the music of the Hub at Bonnaroo. If you haven’t heard of them before, they’re a relatively new face, but have still managed to rally to this point. - See more at: http://allstonpudding.com/boston-at-bonnaroo-wonder-city-might-make-it-happen/#sthash.qBw6OtPJ.dpuf - Allston Pudding

Bio
'Wonder City' began one night in the Fall of 2013 over drinks in a Boston pub, when after self imposed exiles in desert Mali and Philadelphia, singers and guitarists Zach Postle and Matthew Gentle bonded over a shared love of lush, buzzy guitar sounds, and emotionally-soaked songwriting.
The pair recruited and collaborated with noted duo, bassist Matt Arndt, and Berklee grad/drummer Marc Mendes on the makings of a bold, yet reminiscent style, fueled and inspired in equal parts by the modern indie rock stylings of Kings of Leon, The Black Keys and The Strokes, the shimmer and charge of Britrock bands like The Who, Oasis, and the Stone Roses, and the rhythmically driven swagger and drop of reggae/rock from Bob Marley & the Wailers, and the Police.
With its waves of honey & growl guitar, driven by insistent and shambolic rhythms, and topped with vocal melodies dripping with evocative intent and reverberant meaning, Wonder City found its sound and its soul. Fresh off of a momentous and highly anticipated "Bombora" EP debut show at the legendary Boston House of Blues, Wonder City's live performances have been recognized for their energy, shimmer, and world-beating passion.
Catch 'Wonder City' live this Spring and Summer as they tour the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
