""they all rocked out to w. k. mahler""

early july 2004

w. k. mahler stepped out to the beach at veterans park to a free performance
stage with no amps, just voice and harmonica along with a easy going crowd
who rocked out from the beach with stars and a warm breeze to the restaurant
along to the setlist as follows.

leonda (i'm coming home)
got me world wide
act of mercy
wife
sister i believe
say
what do you know
let me show you
regardless
*human touch by bruce springsteen
*eagles fly / best of both worlds / when it's love by sammy hagar and van
halen
*ships by barry manilow
*you take my breath away / long away / love of my life / it's late /
i want it all / innuendo / bohemian rhapsody / the prophets song /
who wants to live forever / the show must go on / somebody to love by queen
teddy's song
soul
living lies
rip it
freedom
*tenth avenue freeze out by bruce springsteen
*don't stop believing by journey

on an interesting note, the show was totally impromptu and it seems the
chorus to "say" got in the minds of the democratic party for john kerry was
quoting the chorus the following night. on the way back a man with a cell
phone was overheard about the restaurant customers (they were all rocking
out!!). 2004 plans are underway with new song demos recorded such as the
genesis, bruce springsteen, queen and don henley inspired "footsteps",
"excuse me", "awake", "being your best friend", "only me i know of",
"something about tomorrow" and "we're all going to get paid". - leonda k. emmerich

Bio

Born during November1967 with the name Mahler in relation to Gustav musically, William Keith Mahler has been taught classic country and rock and roll with blues and jazz vocals. He learned by family, friends and radio while attending kindergarten through high school training with various bands until his late 20's into now his 30's finally going solo 3 years ago. W. K. took his name by using his initials early in 1997, one year into the internet for himself and his wife, Leonda of whom became the focal point for his first single as a solo artist, "Leonda (I'm Coming Home)", a-cappella and adlib during August 29, 2001 along with "Got Me World Wide". Both recorded live in front of an audience like everything he usually does, 13 days prior to September 11, 2001, now known as "The Performance, Warning & Vocal Blueprint to 9/11/01".The entire performance was released to M2Technologies Inc. President Janet Morris, a non lethals expert, Pentagon insider and direct relative via his wife's mothers sister 48 hours after the first ever performance. He is seeking the release of the 2 songs along with a new song titled "New York" as a EP release for September 11, 2004. William went on to perform with Audrey Kelly for the "Freedom" & "Soul" performance September 19, 2001, here in Hyannis where he has primarily performed ever since 2001. October 2002 brought the team of Dan Langlias and William together for the "No Highway" & "Rip It" duo adlib freestyle performance and like their predecessors, each are known within seconds of hearing from listeners via the entire East to West Coast of the U. S. A. and globally as well as radio locally throughout New England. "No Highway" helped bring about the Virginia sniper shootings to a close in 2002.

William has completed his 2nd CD and is still creating new material on a daily basis while living and working his craft with his blues harmonica, keyboard and of course vocals. Early word is that the songs "Say" (a Kerry - Edwards 2004 possibility)"Any Day", "Something 'Bout Tomorrow" and "Excuse Me" as well as "Footsteps" are ones to remember for years to come. 2003 and 2004 saw his first cd titled "W. K. Mahler" released via CDBaby with Usenet (newsgroups) & Yahoogroups results and is a favorite locally. "Teddy's Song" is dedicated to Harold Mahler, his Uncle of whom is the reason for Williams support for Cancer research. "What Do You Know" is dedicated to the victims of September 11, 2001 and may appear on a tribute cd to be released this 2004. "Let Me Show You", "Leonda, (I'm Coming Home)", "Got Me World Wide", "Wife" (a Howard Stern favorite) are to Leonda of whom has been along for the better part of Williams career during the last 3 years and 15 years of marriage. "Living Lies" is a Maine favorite for the Bush family and "Rip It", "Sister I Believe", "Act Of Mercy", "Freedom", "Something There", "Without Any Trace" and Regardless" are coming to be known for the depth of Williams creativity that has been attention getting for years now.

William is self taught with Windows based PC's, attention to detail with Creative Labs, Sound Forge, Sonic and Sony recording equipment and is an avid photographer of real life scenarios. William has also been a fond listener of Bruce Springsteen and Queen since his early days of teenager years. 2003 saw "Human Touch" by Bruce Springsteen performed in Orlando, FL. on his birthday dedicated to Chris, unknown to William but thought of as to a relative down there at the time. William had bought in December 2002 the rights to Queen Online dot net, the unknown site to the official band site of Queen Online dot com, legendary British band Queen "We Will Rock You", "We Are The Champions" whom also brought together the world for Nelson Mandela's 46664 concert in late November 2003 for Aids/HIV relief in Africa. William is a supporter and created the basis for Queens set list one year prior with the document "Queen & Springsteen: What Would Happen If" in November 2002. Pairing up songs of being young and learning about what it takes to be an adult together, William left his soul and music creativity to the "pen and paper" of Front Page via HTML and via the Queen and Springsteen discussion boards that became the basis for Queens 46664 concert performance. William has also penned ideas for U2, Van Halen, Kiss and another favorite, Melissa Etheridge of whom herself dedicated her 2003 Melody Tent Hyannis, MA. set list to friends of William, one of whom lost a loved one and so "All The Way To Heaven" closed the night. William has also been a founding listener of Pixy 103 since its inception during the late 1980's with the head D. J. Suzanne Tonniare as his a long time phone chat personality.
