Debut Album: Who We Are (2007)

Bio
DENMARK - Does not have a lot of modern hard-rock bands. However, Why Anonymous was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark. The band sounds like a mix of Creed, Nickelback and 3 Doors Down and the boys are primarily inspired by hard-rock bands from U.S. and Canada. Other musical influences are some of todays alternative rock bands like Fall Out Boy.
The band is currently working on putting a brand new EP together containing all new and crispy songs. >>We haven't decided on a specific release date yet, though<< says lead singer Martin Calstrup. The EP will be the follow-up release to the bands debut album "Who We Are", which was released in November 2007.
The debut album is a diverse collection of songs that were molded using a solid rhythm section, melodic and heavy guitars and straight-in-your-face vocals.
>>These songs were all written during a very important time in our lives hence the title<< says drummer Michael Lund. >>The diversity in the collection of songs on this album and the title, both add to the general idea of the album. Being the process of finding solid ground in who you are and what you want to be<< bass player D. C. Menace adds.
The album was released through the band's own record label (Kayoh Records) and it was distributed to retail stores and sold digitally on a variety of mp3 outlets on the web - including iTunes. "Who We Are" is also available on CDBaby.com.
Why Anonymous arent strangers to the live scene. The boys in the band take pride in delivering a great show and the goal is always to throw a good party while on stage. The fact that the band is always having fun on stage quickly becomes evident to those seeing the band for the first time.
The set list usually includes one or two cover songs. The band gets a kick out of spicing up old pop/rock songs (usually from the 80s or early 90s) and then put them on the set list. Examples are Im So Excited by Pointer Sisters and You Spin Me Right Round by Dead or Alive. You might be tempted to call these crowd pleasers, but the boys actually have a lot of fun playing them.
