Cincinnati OH, May 19, 2010–It’s gonna be one hot summer night on Friday, June 4th when Cincinnati’s mysterious new Psych/ Garage band Le Whorenettes hits the stage for the first time at the Comet, along with Blues/ Psych monsters The J Dorsey Blues Revival.
Who are Le Whornettes? Well your guess is as good as any, but from the driving garage sounds that are wafting through computer speakers all over the tri-state area, this band is going to big a big deal. With influences ranging from T Rex to The Sonics, or The Stones to Love with Arthur Lee, Le Whornettes are sure to get down and dirty with the best of the sixties infused basement rockers. Just take a listen to the three tracks on their Myspace page and start getting excited now to be the first to experience Le Whorenettes live and in person! - Cincy Groove

Downstairs in the ballroom, the Le Whorenettes wrapped up their set with a standard rock version of “You Wreck Me.” As I was watching the band’s lead guitarist, whose name I didn’t catch, I thought to myself that at anytime he could step in for Heartbreaker lead axeman Mike Campbell and no one would really know the difference. - Nate Rosing
