Whisky Blood are a four piece hard rock band from London, England. Formed in September 2011, the band currently comprises of Jamie Sprunt (vocals and guitar) and Paul Kixx (guitar), as well as Robin Stokes (bass) and Vinnie Velazco (drums).
Heavily influenced by the British and American hard rock of the 1980’s, Whisky Blood set out to reignite the spirit, passion and energy of classic hard rock, draggin it kickin and screaming past a stale, diluted music scene into a new generation of raw, debaucherous rock n’ roll.
Despite being inspired by 80’s rock music, Whisky Blood aim to avoid being considered a throwback band, constantly evolving by taking influences from all forms of music, arts and surroundings as well as embracing the use of modern technology and production within their sound, performances and artwork.
Whisky Blood combine hard hitting drums, pumping bass lines and solid guitar riffs with intelligent lyrics, focusing on everything from personal experiences and political struggles to the more rock affiliated topics of sex, drugs and rock n’ roll. They are known for their high energy, interactive live performances and their loyal fan base.
Whisky Blood’s debut single ‘Start it up’ gained substantial airplay on radio stations across to the U.K as well as in the U.S.A and other countries. They are currently in the process of recording their debut E.P which is set for release in July 2013.
