Kingdoms' brilliant debut ep fuses a bit of Phoenix, Ra Ra Riot and the Strokes (although the vocalist is much stronger than Julian). Clearly the band have paid attention to the John Hughes films of the 80's with the clever flourishes of New Order-esque (marr/summner collaboration spinoff Electronic), OMD, even pet shop boys synths, yet they create a sound that is entirely of today. In a perfect world, the song 'capture the moon' (a quintessential summer single) would be blaring from radios across the land. It's chorus (with it's light nod/homage to George Harrison's 'while my guitar gently weeps' and then later nicely nicked by Noel on Liam's falsetto chorus of 'she's electric') will be ringing in your head for days long after the 23 min ep's last note has been played. Kingdoms' future is very bright. - iTunes

Bio
Kingdoms, an alternative electropop band from Los Angeles, has built a strong following around powerful live shows that explode into psychedelic dance parties.
Originally a singer/songwriter project of frontman Brayden Pierce, Kingdoms took an electronic turn in 2013 after a late night, impromptu jam session/dance party with keys player Matt Walerstein. The duo never looked back, and enlisted producers Jeremy Hatcher and Pawel Sek (fun., Empire of the Sun) for their debut EP, "See Through Naked Eyes", in 2014. With the addition of bassist Justin Gariano, drummer Dusty Schaller, and guitarist/DJ Chad Nini, Kingdoms has packed House of Blues Sunset, Sayers Club Hollywood, and played main stage at LA Pride Festival.
Kingdoms will be releasing a series of singles and remixes in 2015, beginning with "Battery" and "Leave the Light On."
The band name, Kingdoms, comes from the philosophical zen principle of impermanence, that everything is temporary. At it's truest sentiment, it's a grateful reminder to celebrate each other and live each moment to the fullest.
