Violence

Violence is a post-hardcore band from Calgary, Alberta. Heavily influenced by the late 90’s/early 2000’s emo and early screamo, Violence emphasizes the “post” aspects of post-hardcore.

Established in spring of 2012, we have striven for intricate song writing and a solid live presentation that exemplifies the emotional impact of our songs. We are quickly gaining momentum in the Calgary music scene, as well as a strong following in the all-ages community.

As individuals, we gained our experience from a wide range of other bands, such as If I Look Strong, You Look Strong, the Mountaineer, Bleachers, and various other punk and hardcore bands over the course of the past seven years.

We closed out 2012 by releasing our 3-song demo, Misinterpretations, Lies, and Revelations. 2013 will be marked by the recording of an as-of-yet unnamed split 7” to be released this July followed by a Canadian tour.
