Bio
Since the age of five, singer songwriter Vicki McCrone has been inspired to make music. From charting on the Top 40 Trax List to winning top spots in national singer/songwriter competitions, McCrone discovered her need as a musical artist: writing and singing “Little Songs” for children.
McCrone has been compared with top female vocalists such as Colbie Caillat and Sara Bareilles, and has received rave reviews for work on Little Songs. She has won Disney's prestigious iParenting Media Award for her unique music video releases, Little Songs.
In 2006, after moving from San Francisco to her native Cleveland, McCrone began volunteering for Cleveland’s Positive Education Program. Every week, McCrone, along with her yellow lab, would visit with children with autism. After one of the pet therapy sessions, she wrote a song called, My Little Dog. It was an instant hit. The kids loved it. Moved by this wonderful experience, she began writing more songs and traveling school to school. Soon, Little Songs was established as a participatory program in schools.
McCrone has produced three award-winning kids' DVD/CDs: Little Songs Animals, Little Songs Earth, and Little Songs Colors. She is currently in the studio working on her second alternative adult contemporary album for the adult market.
Classically trained in voice and piano, McCrone has performed Little Songs in schools and in after-school programs through organizations such as Young Audience of Northeast Ohio, the Ohio Arts Council and Little Songs Players, a non-profit co-founded by McCrone.
