„Best band in Austria“ Ronnie Vanucci/ The Killers
Located somewhere between Californian beach vibes, the docks of Liverpool and a rehearsal space in Vienna, this is airy, melodic and effortless guitar pop with attention to detail. derstandard.at, aus "Best of 2005 von Christian Schachinger", Austria
Everything good pop music is made of, you'll find here: Lush choruses, deep sorrow, desire, rich harmonies, rough beats, and pumping, discofriendly basslines – the sound is flawless, as is the performance. Kurier, Austria

The songs are of high quality, as we have come to expect from this quartet, though this time with a twist of melancholy...Here they've mastered new territories without losing any of their strengths: great record. Now
Arranged, performed and produced with great diversity, deftly navigating genres like new wave, Americana and soft rock without deteriorating into noise. "A Hole Under Your Feet" could pass for an Oasis number...Cool! **** Westzeit, Germany
"Heavy Gold & the Great Return of the Stereo Chorus" is entertainment at its best and has the potential to become a huge hit in the indie world. Legacy Magazine, 12/15 rating, Germany
In their more experimental moments, with songs like "Don't Lose Your Head," and with the album intro, Velojet are reminiscent of that pop wunderkind from Mannheim Konstantin Gropper AKA Get Well Soon. sallys.net, Germany

Bio
VELOJET have released three albums (Velojet, This Quiet Town and Heavy Gold) in Germany, Austria and Switzerland via Wohnzimmer/Hoanzl/Broken Silence.
Various singles have been in rotation on Austria's national Radio FM4 as well as various German and Swiss stations.
Some of them reached the top of Austrian Radio Charts as well as on Independent Club Charts.
Now with over 260 concerts under their belts (opening for acts such as The Killers, Babyshambles, Nada Surf, Fettes Brot and more), VELOJET have matured into a veteran live act with international appeal, including concerts in England (The Great Escape), Holland (Eurosonic), Germany (Reeperbahn, Popkomm), and Italy.
Between 2006 and 2011, VELOJET has thrice been nominated for the Austrian Music Award ("Amadeus Award").
Their new album was recorded mostly in August 2012 in Finland and produced by former Moneybrother drummer Magnus "Existensminimum" Henriksson for an autumn 2013 release.

Velojet entered the pop-scene in 2005 and left a considerable impression.
Their first record contains a powerful mix of vibrant guitar-pop and catchy lyrics blended into what critics then called the best LP available.
It is easy-going indie-pop of a highly cosmopolitan style, freely switching its tone between melancholic Liverpool dry-dock atmosphere and sunny Californian surfers’ sound, though never lacking a strong personal note of songwriter René Mühlberger.
Their first single “Your Side” sky-rocketed to the very top of the Independent Club Charts, and so did their LP “Velojet”.
On "This Quiet Town" and "Heavy Gold" their sound has ripened – yet it has not lost any of its refreshing and sparkling character.
It gained depth through various changes in tempo, mood, harmony and instrumentation.
Above all, though, Velojet succeeds in providing their fans with earworms, be it through their frontman René Mühlberger’s singing or through the catchy synthie-chords of keyboardist Elisabeth Neuhold.
Their melodies are artfully supported by bassist Marlene Lacherstorfer, “the coolest appearance since Kim Deal”, as the renowned Austrian newspaper der Standard attested.
Drummer Michael Flatz acts as the pacemaker of the perfectly operating organism, providing pulsating rhythms.
