Lets face it, it’s hard enough these days to find one thing that you’re good at and can excel in, but for singer-songwriter and founder of Moxie Industries being good at multiple things and packing them up in her car and journeying around the United States seems to come natural for her. “Natural” being the key word here as just about everything she does is natural, from writing songs that evoke empathy and meaning, to strumming the guitar with ease and grace, to designing bags made from such reused materials as old seatbelts and Jack Daniels labels. She is currently on her “Love Your World Tour “ and taking with her all her songs, her guitar and her “love for creative expression.”
Vanessa Diaz embodies a little bit of everything all wrapped up in one big down to earth package. She’s creative, smart, eager, proactive, and an environmentalist. She sings, she writes, she tours, she designs and she sells everything she makes. She also represents other artists that carry her outlook. Point is, this a recipe of pure dedication, desire, and determination which ultimately leads to a win-win situation. And we at 305green/citygreenlife commend that type of do it yourself attitude and think you should too hence, why we’re sharing it with you!
Vanessa sent us over a live video performance of her song, “Please” while in Raleigh, North Carolina and some images of her newly designed and uber eclectic upcycled bags that she made while on tour and is currently selling them at her shows. Make sure to check out her other designs, fashions and music on her site by clicking here. You can also keep up to date with her by liking Moxie Industries and/or Vanessa Diaz Music on Facebook. Support local. Support the Arts. And definitely support creativity. - City Green Life

Bio
Vanessa has been performing since the age of six, and began performing professionally in 2001. For her stage performances, Vanessa designed and modified clothes to create her own unique looks. This inventiveness naturally progressed into the creation of her own clothing line. With her interests in art and the environment, combining all aspects to create Moxie Industries was a natural evolution.
Vanessa just released her first 7" recycled vinyl titled Roller Coaster! On it you will find “Days Go By” and “Say You Will“, the new single! “My style of music is indie, alternative.” says Vanessa, whose musical influences include Janis Joplin, Patsy Cline, Gloria Estefan, Mazzy Star, Jewel & Otis Redding.
Vanessa plays with a looper, electric guitar and ukelele when she sings. She performs solo while on her Love Your World tour and invites fellow musicians to come up and play with her live. “It keeps things fresh and adds more members to what I call The &uper 8and; which consists of all the great musicians I jam & collaborate with on the road,” says Vanessa. Having collaborated with 6 different artist while on her 2012 Love Your World tour, she will be releasing a full length album & DVD next year with The &uper 8and.
She is currently based in Nashville writing, recording and touring with her beagle Sammy & vintage teardrop camper Zo!
