Bio
Vance Lawrence is known to have two standout sounds: One being an eclectic electro/progressive big room beat known to make the crowd rise, with use of latin drums in the build-ups, and focus on the European pumping when the beat drops. The other being a groove with a pinch of tricky drums, an implementation of experimentation, and a Caribbean vibe to top it off. In either case, there is no holding back on the energy level. His sounds have so far been heard in Daegu, South Korea's first 11 editions of the Club Day festival, Dayglow Houston, and the Houston's Stereo Live New Years Eve festivities for 2011 and 2012.
From 2004 to 2006, the spins of Vance Lawrence were heard both in residency and major gigs at many packed clubs in Daegu, South Korea, including Club Hybrid, DMC, Mary Jane, Funkadelic, and Box. He also had residency at Club Frog and G2, two premier hotspots on Daegu's Rodeo Drive. During this time period, he had the opportunity to do opening sets for Korean artists and DJs including Se7en, JinuSean, Drunken Tiger, 1TYM, Dynamic Duo, Jon Lockley, and DJ RTEK.
Since moving back to the United States, he has played alongside Laidback Luke, Benny Benassi, Kaskade, Richard Vission, Oliver Twizt, ATFC, DJ Spen, Felix Cartal, The Devil From Acapulco, Dev, David Solano, Tager & Funk, Bart B More, Randy Seidman, Ape Drums, Designer Drugs, Basshunter, Sasha Grey, DJ Bl3nd, Joe Dismal, BPM Radio's DJ Riddler, Alex Clavijo, Charles Bell, and many others.
His sounds will be heard and supported starting in January 2012 by Protoxic Records (American Penguin, Instinct, Poolside), Crossworld Records (Diamond Cutter), and Vibe Lebanon (Timeless) with more release dates in the works. His remixes to date have been supported in over 80 countries, and his weekly webshow (Vance Dance Live) has debuted over 4,000 tracks within the first week of their release.
