"In the life of a man, his time is but a moment, his being an incessant flux, his sense a dim rushlight, his body a prey of worms, his soul an unquiet eddy, his fortune dark, his fame doubtful." ---Marcus Aurelius
After answering an ad on a musician networking website placed by Wayne Russell (ex-Victims Of Change), Long Island native Rob Leiz knew that he had found what he was looking for--the second member of what would become Unquiet Eddy. The two experienced their uncanny musical chemistry when they wrote their first song together the first time they met. He came over and we wrote Washing My Hands, recalls Russell. Russell was looking to start a project to front, but after several failed attempts at locating a drummer, he decided to get back behind the drums as a drumming vocalist. Leiz (Vocals/Guitar) and Russell (Vocals/Drums) were searching for a solid, versatile, shred-style lead guitarist and a solid metal bassist. After a few failed attempts at finding either, multi-instrumentalist Pete Potter contacted the band. Right away, their sound began to reshape. Russell, having known guitarist Ed Corella from other projects, approached him about joining. The band drew influences from several artists such as Iron Maiden, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Symphony X, and Megadeth (to name a few) while honing their sound. They officially released their debut on August 16, 2010. An EP, entitled PREY OF WORMS, it is a stylized blend of guitar-laden hard rock, pounding drums, and melodic vocals. Although, it is not a concept work. It does deal with such central themes as life realities and death as the great equator. They toured relentlessly in support of the release. They were fortunate enough to support Anvil, Arsis, Sonata Artica, Danzig, Evergrey, Symphony X and more during this time.
After Pete left, the band reshaped their sound again. They finally returned to the studio to record the follow up to PREY OF WORMS. THE ASSAILENT was put into full-fledged effort the end of 2013. The group knew they were missing something. Ed happened upon Nate Seinicki when Nate contacted him via a band web site. "He was what we needed to take this incarnation to the next level."
The band is currently finishing THE ASSAILENT with the addition of Nate Seinicki and a huge tour featuring a newly revamped stage and lighting show to follow.
