Underwater Sleeping Society will release their new album The Dead Vegas fall of 2008 in Finland, Sweden and The Netherlands with more countries to follow. The album is mixed by Kalle Gustafsson(The Soundtrack of Our Lives), Mattias Nyberg and Hans Olsson and mastered by Fred Kevorkian at Kevorkian Mastering, New York.
The first pressing will be a CD-VinylDisc which means you can play it both in your CD player and the other side on a vinylplayer (contains a bonus song).
Underwater Sleeping Society will perform live in Finland, Germany and Sweden this autumn and a full scale european tour will take place in spring of 2009. POPKOMM SHOWCASE October 8th Club 23 (Kulturbrauerai), Berlin (DE) at 11.15PM
Underwater Sleeping Society released their second full-lenght album "All Other Lights Go Out" in 2007, co-produced by Asko Keränen of the legendary alt-rockers 22-Pistepirkko. The album stormed to 13 on the Finnish album chart and the single "Silence Teaches You How To Sing" proved to be a solid hit. The band played a total of 70 shows in Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Russia and Austria.
The music is unique to the bone, combining dark atmospheres and powerful melodies with a twist of 2000’s psychedelia. The critics have been busy comparing the music to big-buzz names like The National, Midlake and The Flaming Lips.
