Bio
If you had to use one word to describe Ty Baynton its country. From the souls of his boots to his cowboy hat and his signature glass of Jack and Coke that rests on his mic stand, hes got the heart and soul of a Canadian boy raised in a small town.
Ty picked up the guitar at 14 and never looked back. By 15 he had written his first song and was performing at bars and coffee houses in and around his hometown. He continued performing and writing while attaining both his college and university degree and by the age of 20 his passion also allowed him to pay the bills.
In early 2012 he released his first self-titled EP and saw the leadoff single Out Here On The Farm see nationwide air play not just in Canada, but in the southern USA as well. This album garnered him the new artist of the month/week award at several stations as well as a nomination for Best Country Artist at the 2012 Toronto Independent Music Awards. Ty followed this up by releasing what has now become his signature song and nickname, Canadian Country Boy. After completing a cross Canada tour from southern Ontario to Alberta and back Ty released his summer time anthem Bonfires Glow. Co-written with fellow country artist and Ontario boy Steve Rivers, this song describes any given weekend in the summer where good friends, cold drinks and good times are never far away.
Never a fan of sitting still, Ty was back on the road August and September of 2013, with stops in Winnipeg, Weyburn, Calgary, Kelowna and of course Edmonton for the CCMAs.
His current single All I Want And More has now hit radio with a new LP album already in the works for release early next year and Ty hopes to be back out on the road again shortly after that, with major fair and festival dates already booked well into August 2014.
