Bio
Tropic Of Pisces, the new project from Oberhofer guitarist, Mathew Scheiner, will release his debut EP, Symmetry on February 25th, both digitally and on a limited 10" vinyl pressing via Ooh La La Records. The entirely self/home-recorded album was mixed by Grammy winning engineer / producer / father, Elliot Scheiner, famous for his work with Beck, Steely Dan, The Flaming Lips, Fleetwood Mac, and Joe Jackson. Based in Brooklyn, NY, Matt splits his time between touring with Oberhofer and collaborating on various other music projects like Mon Khmer and Superhuman Happiness.
The four tracks that comprise Symmetry display Scheiner's flair for composing zesty, sophisticated pop music. With hints of tropidelica, funk, and electropop, Tropic Of Pisces has crafted a sound that gets the dance floor blood pumping.
