T-REY

He's TREYmendous! Sixteen year old Trey Ruffin of Miami, Florida is the featured artist of this new hip-hop project that is bound to have you bobbin' your head, movin' your feet, and rapping along. Trey began his musical venture by recording a Maxi Single CD when he was just nine years of age. Being a natural performer since the age of two, Trey is once again about to unleash his indigenous gifts of song and dance to the world.
Trey's focus at his age is sometimes overwhelming. He says, "I want to be used to make a impact and to show an alternative to the youth". He is very sensitive to those who are less fortunate than he and prays that God will enable him help those that are in need.
The first attribute to hop out at cha from this hip hop artist is his humble spirit. Get to know him a little better and you'll see that he has an "old soul" and enjoys being around and learning from those that are older than him. As a small child, hanging around and listening to the musical performances of his then teenage cousin Danny James, and God-brother Jamal Pittman is what sparked his passion in music. Musical influences who have inspired him, as he'll tell you, in one way or another are generally those who were before his time, like Louis Armstrong, the Temptations andMichael Jackson to name a few. The format of his music is brought forth with flava, but the foundation of his message simply put...is to find hope, peace and ultimately love.
Upon the release of his self-entitled CD, Trey has performed in front of thousands, leaving them seechless to say the least. In 2003, he was nominated for a New Rising Star award. He's been honored and awarded on many occassions, and has shared the stage as well as opened for entertainers such as KJ-52, Trick Daddy, Fat Joe, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Disney, Rizen, Bobby Jones, T-Pain, Rawsrvnt and many more. Trey headlined the School Crunk Tour in South Florida, which was a promotional tour for his upcoming CD release.
Now going by the stage name T-REY, his sophmore CD, entitled TREYMENDOUS, gives us a peek into Trey's vivacity. It gives messages of hope, freedom, trust, and love. This musical project will positively bless your life and certainly cause you to think.
