Bio

Imagine what the Red Hot Chili Peppers would sound like in their twenties on this day an age, add some dreamy Incubus to the mix and the sweet melodic notes of your favorite Porcupine Tree song. Not there yet? Ok, what about a Uruguayan Flea, obsessed with everything music, a Dominican Frusciante that could wipe the floor with his lethal b-boy moves and a genuine whole hearted Brandon Boyd from the land of almost every amazing baseball player ever with a surreal talent for cooking, making music with no creative boundaries? Better now?

Thats what Train Seven is all about, music from the heart without any concessions. Trying to take the word industry out of the music industry and adding some more creative freedom that has been lost amidst this mass media revolution where music has become a commodity more than an art. Where unique voices are being shut down every day to fit the model of mass distribution.

Train Seven is a young band from Queens that is said to remind its listeners to the golden era of the early 90s while delivering powerful shows that will make you want to surrender to the music and experience the journey through ethereal sounds and punchy rock riffs.

The Dreamer: Joe Durag Rey is the first dreamer of this project. Self taught, arts educated, fitness guru and b-dance monster has set the path for the band to grow, being one of the founding members and the only to survive the original formation that included Adam Gugi Nuez on drums and Godfrey G Elder on bass. Bringing in a distinctive voice that sets him apart from mainstream chord chugging guitar playing he ensures a very lyrical approach to guitar playing and composition.

The Believer: Alejandro Alo Zorrilla de San Martin, while holding the world record in the longest set of names a person can have is the latest addition to the band. Berklee graduate in production and music writing, the polyphasic, OCD, and philosopher bass player carries the art of playing bass inspired by legends such as Flea, Larry Graham, and John P. Jones among others. His style and perspective in music brings a cohesive storytelling quality to the band that borders the elements of good progressive music like Rush, Yes and Porcupine Tree.

The Preacher: Javier Javi Enrique Mejia, the best cook on this side oh the East River, former illest b-boy in action and design enthusiast is the first addition to the band in charge of carrying the message across the universe. Recruited in the early days of Train Seven the soft like a rock singer can make you feel the music with no censorship when it comes to holding the fort. His vocal lines as much as his stage presence are the signature element in the outreach department in the band.

The band has been steadily refining its craft, making its first official appearance with the actual formation and philosophy at the sunset of summer of 2013 on what is known to be one of the most epic home-barbecues that is still the word of mouth for some of those who attended. Continuing to work on its first EP with no concessions in the process, Train Seven is ready to make a dent in the music world with a message thats infected with dreams and hope and a vision of a world where people can connect again from the heart.
