Tracy Sousa's singing style is filled with attitude, rhythm, melody and soul. There's something in her collection to satisfy all musical tastes, as Tracy defies traditional genre labels. Tracy's original songs start from smooth, sultry, blues-folk, go on to jazzy bass-driven funk, and then travels to unpredictably complex syncopated fusion metal, before moving on to an all-out heart-pounding assault on the senses. You'll often find more than one musical genre woven seamlessly into a single cut on her EP “No Brakes”. If you like pop, rock, jazz, funk, and /or heavy metal, you'll love Tracy Sousa, and her group of incredibly talented and versatile musicians. With over 20 years of live performance, as well as, studio experience, Tracy's professional career began in Hollywood, Ca in 1988. As the lead singer for the band Merge Left, An original showcasing band that played the club circuit in Los Angeles and San Diego in California, as well as, touring the South West, for several years. After returning to her native New Jersey in 1992, she then went on to sing in cover bands playing local venues throughout the tri-state area. Her versatile vocal range starting at alto one and climbing to soprano two, has lead her to front bands in many different musical genres, including What the Funk? Soul Purpose, De'Funked, Run a Muck, Goddess Blood, Venture to Zen, Trouble, Blind Spot and Master Jack to name a few. Focusing on harmonies, the acoustic cover project Venture to Zen has allowed her to enhance her ability to sing back ground vocals as well as leads. She also sings background vocals for the Southern Rock Original and Cover band Ten Foot Tall that plays many festivals throughout the Tri-State Area.
