Tosi Brooks is a singer/songwriter, dancer and musician. 2011 earned Tosi kudos as she was the Vox pop winner in the Independent Music Awards for her song "Been so Long/Tings A Yard" produced by Cinewave Records.
. She also released her interpretation of two classics "Whiter Shade of of Pale" and "Just a Mirage". The recording "Harambee" in December 2009 was another effort by this prolific writer.
Tosi's debut CD "Majic in Reggae" was released in 2003 and included the hit single from 1996 "What You Gonna Do" which also earned her nomination as best new female artist in the Miami Reggae Soca Awards.
Tosi's influences in music was shaped by her performing in her brother - Cedric Im Brooks' bands adding that Jazzy tone to her vocals and willingness to cross musical boundaries in her compositions and performances. Tosi's toured with the Skatallite band, Mystic Revelation of Rastafari and Journey to Africa.
