Talent, Tori’s plans for 2010 have never looked so good.
2009 has been a sensational year for Tori with her debut single CRAWL reaching #1 on the 98.9fm All Australian Country Music Chart, #11 on The Country Tracks Top 30 chart, and her debut music video reaching #20 on the CMC Top 30. Tori’s 2nd single and video clip YOU BETTER RUN, hitting both CMC and The Country Tracks Top 30 Charts, an amazing accomplishment for this young artist.

Stars Australian Independent Country Music Rising Star Finalist for her single YOU BETTER RUN.

With the release of her debut EP in 2009, recorded with renowned musician and
producer Simon Johnson, features some of Australia’s leading musicians, and has been met with
great interest from the country music industry and fans alike.
Songwriting is an important part of Tori’s music. Says Tori “I was elated to work with some of Australia’s finest songwriters on some of my new tracks, including Allan Caswell (Karma), Drew McAlister (Not My Time to Fly) and Roger Corbett (You Better Run).”
In the years leading up to her debut release, Tori traveled extensively throughout Australia, honing her singing and on-stage presentation skills. This hard work has paid off, with supports for THE MCCLYMONTS, JETTY ROAD and AMBER LAWRENCE.
2007 Champion of the Australian Country Talent Search (ACTS) Tori was delighted when she won the CCMA Junior Champion for Best Young Talent, was awarded The Queensland Champion of Champions Song-Writing Award, graduated from Tamworth’s Camerata College and won the Toyota Maton Talent Search at the Toyota National Country Music Muster, Gympie.
As part of that major prize, Tori was invited to perform at the Merritt Mountain Country Music Festival in Canada where she opened for KENNY CHESNEY. Continuing on her Canadian Tour, Tori also performed along-side DOC WALKER, JO DEE MESSINA, JOHNNY REID, PAUL BRANT and THE STEVE MILLER BAND.
While overseas, Tori headed to Nashville and Los Angeles to spend time writing with esteemed songwriters John Bettis (Madonna, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston) & Robin Bruce (LeAnne Rimes, Jo Dee Messina) and had the privilege of writing with Michael Davey and Andrew Dorff (Martina McBride) who wrote Tori’s first single CRAWL.
It is Tori Darke’s passion to sing and share her music with as many people as possible. It is Tori Darke’s aim to be a highly recognized & acclaimed singer/songwriter both here in Australia and overseas.
