Passion is what drove the upcoming of this artist when at age 16, Jay Encarnacion known in the music world as Tony Kash decided to pursue the dream of bringing a genre of music that is believed to be dead; back to life. Early in his teens, Tony Kash fell in love with the lyrics and flow of many rappers of the 90s such as Big Pun, Wu Tang Clan, and M.O.P. Graduating with an instrumental and electronic music major in high school, Tony Kash used his natural musicality to create a sound, a sound different than what commercial rappers are using, a sound that would reach deep into the sould of his listeners; hip hop. Tony Kash began his music career by playing drums for his local church.. Kash's drum skills caught the attention of listeners which got him into many drum gigs. At age 17, a church member presented Kash with music production equipment, which then opened the door for his one of a kind melodic flow and catchy hooks. Kash's dream was finally kicked into gear when at age 18 he had a series of three performances at clubs Zion, Tight Rack, and Hush where he was able to show off his talent and determination to make it to the top. When Tony Kash was 19, he attended two drum-offs, one of which he won second place. Tony Kash today, is still making moves to change the face of music. Tony Kash has knowledge of many instruments including drums, piano, bass, and percussion. He has been able to maintain his career as a musician and a rapper and his beats are in high demand from local artists. Tony Kash hopes to one day become a music producer for top selling artists as well as see his own music hit the top of the charts
