Bio
Since 1997, with an explosive rock combination consisting of a mixture of funk and metal, with arrangements and influences from hardcore punk and rap, Timmy O'Tool shared their music in different stages in Argentina and abroad.
The Band´s growth was whiteness for the local public, television viewers of channels as Much Music and MTV (Latin America and USA), the audiences of many of their shows in Mexico and Colombia (Rock al Parque 2YK for more than 90,000 people), as well as for radio listeners who heard them around the country and readers of national and international print media.
In 2000 Timmy O'Tool released his first album No soy yo, without previous experience in a recording studio the band failed to capture the sound that characterized their shows, but that album earned the band a good recognition of the press and its first international tour.
In 2003 Timmy O'Tool released its second production: Confusion Rock, an album with ten tracks which speaks of the inner struggle, and the idea of integrating a world full of energy and communion in opposition to the intolerance. This album of genuine positive attitude was recorded without the use of artificial effects or machines, by highlighting the spontaneity and power of the sounds of Timmy O'Tool live. Very good sound, power and freshness is what characterizes this album.
Confusion Rock received excellent reviews by the press: Rolling Stone, Rock and Pop FM, Newspaper La Nación and Página 12, among (many) others.
In 2003 the band was performing at different places in Argentina.
In May 2004 the band releases its second video on MTV for all Latin America for the song "Confusion Rock" with a high turnover. As well it was shown on Much Music and The Music Channel.
In June 2004 the band visited Chile doing 3 presentations with great success, in the last of their shows played a cover of the Chilean group Tiro de Gracia with the presence of the singer of this band. In July of that year the band performed their first show in “Cemento” headlining with Totus Toss with great success!
The album was distributed in Spain, Chile and Japan. Their second video for the song "Cuestionalo" was also rotating on MTV with great acceptance of the younger public.
Then the band consolidates their formation as a trio and it is with this formation that they become more solid in their sound, lyrics and songs.
Throughout 2005 and 2006 the band was writing songs which became its brand-new album “Sigo acá de pie“.
On November 2, 2007 “Sigo acá de pie“ was released, this production shows a remarkable evolution in the band's music. Rock, metal, punk, emo, hardcore, rap and modern melodies are present in the 16 songs included in this new album, making an explosive sound formula that only TOT can achieved and bring to extremes.
With a great vocal work and musical guests as Corvata (Carajo), Flavio Cianciarullo (Fabulosos Cadillacs), Tavo (Resorte-Mexico), etc. On the album you can also hear the powerful cover of Zombie (Cranberries) in Spanish.
In 2010 the band performed again in different stages of Mexico and in 2011 will be returning to promote their "Greatest Shits" a disc with the best of the band.
