"...their speedy, perky punk is somewhere between [Joe Jack] Talcum’s peppy tunes and the Violent Femmes’ unplugged party jams." - Nashville Scene
"Singer...Seth Graves was adorned in his trademark sombrero and homemade poncho as he guided the Tigers through a jittery, upbeat set that was something like what Beat Happening might sound like were Daniel Johnston their frontman." - Nashville Scene

Bio
Tigers Con Queso are a quirky folk/punk outfit from Nashville, TN, led by Seth Graves (know for his one-man synthpop act Casio Casanova). With the mantra of "less is more" as their main philosophy, they churn out quick, upbeat acoustic punk rock with a folk edge. This minimalist style has drawn comparisons ranging from the Violent Femmes to the Dead Milkmen to Daniel Johnston, and the band regularly plays with former Dead Milkman Joe Jack Talcum when he comes through Nashville on tour.
Just a few months after forming, they recorded their debut EP, "Unleash the Fury!" in their own homes, and released it on May 5th, 2007. Since then, the EP has gotten significant airplay on both local college stations- WRVU at Vanderbilt and WMTS at MTSU. TCQ bring a fun, explosive live show and normally blast through their set in under 25 minutes. The band are heading back to the studio in June 2008 to record a follow-up to "Unleash the Fury!"
