This indie rock duo is originally from the Phoenix-area but they now call Nashville home. That’s okay. We won’t hold that against you. “Serotonin” comes to us from Thunder Ann Crockett’s debut LP – High Functioning – which came out in February. Immediately, I was taken in by the melancholy tone of the instrumentation and the smokey vocals. Thunder Ann Crockett swirls in an earthy, blues-tinged folk into their unique indie sound. So yes, I am guilty of skipping a post last week. But I'll make it up to you by exposing you to another truly undiscovered yet incredible talent hanging out in Nashville. Thunder Ann Crockett just released their first album on Feb 28, which was TWO DAYS ago. That's how new this music is. The duo of Christina Allbright and Jonathan Russo have created some lyrically impressive bluesy pop music on their debut project, entitled High Functioning. They display an insane amount of potential for their first record. You will experience all of the vibes through this music, every emotion is represented. Christina Allbright is a 23-year-old Phoenix native who has been performing in bands since she was eleven. She is also the singer, songwriter, and guitarist for Nashville-based Thunder Ann Crockett, a soulful indie rock band that is sometimes bluesy, sometimes folk-y, and always unique. Her lyrics are clever and introspective, many of them relating to her lifelong struggles with depression, anxiety, and OCD. "High Functioning", Thunder Ann Crockett's debut album, was independently released on February 28th, 2017, co-produced by Christina Allbright and Jonathan Russo.
