"The Law Of The Loudest"

"..deliciously heavy and undeniably groovy band..."

Full interview by Mike SOS.

Deli Magazine, Issue #16, Vol. #2
Fall 2008
- Deli Magazine

"Guitar Player Magazine - Myspace Hordes"

"Driven by militaristic drum programming and a barrage of guitars that's as murky as it is belligerent, 'Kitchen Sink' sounds like a collage of post-Stooges Iggy, the Velvet Underground, and the MC5. Herdsmen Gavin Spielman and Richard Tapper are obviously more concerned with impact than professionalism, and that's why this tune rocks so hard." - Guitar Player Magazine

"Thinning the Herd at Ace of Clubs"

"Local trio Thinning the Herd offers angry, bottom-heavy rock that wouldn't have sounded too out of place on early-90s MTV." - Time Out New York

"Thinning the Herd"

"Thinning the Herd brings together metal, punk and psychedelic mixes with a love of Mudhoney, AC/DC and Black Sabbath to form it's guitar heavy sound." - AM New York

Bio

Since their inception, Thinning the Herd have recorded countless songs and have shared the stage with many acts all over the Northeast, including The Misfits, Agent Orange, Suicide City, Black Water Rising and others.

Influenced by Mudhoney, Motorhead, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath -- THINNING THE HERD set out and produce a hybrid metal/punk/psychedelic infusion. The band’s sound has been likened to the MC5, Iggy Pop and The Stooges and The Velvet Underground by Guitar Player Magazine’s “Myspace Hordes” column, which “spotlight(s) thrilling guitar talents,” 12/07, noting their song 'Kitchen Sink'....'rocks so hard'.
