Bio
Emerging from the truncated summer of 2008, Thighs combines the efforts of Sandy Barron (Remote Kid), Clea Foofat (the Consonant C), Jaqueline Bell (A Relative Distance) and Chris Dadge (Phil Withers). Finding a way to merge a myriad of divergent musical pasts, Thighs has circled all of their stickered wagons around Barron's songs, Foofat's sense of arrangement, Bell's melodic prowess, and Dadge's solid fucking magic.
Thighs runs the gamut from accessible, literate melodic pop to scratchy urgent dissonance. Woven throughout are Barron's lyrics, which tend to invert the concrete, create verbs from proper nouns, and generally dance grammar furiously.
Recording will be underway in April 2009 with Calgary institution Lorrie Matheson.
