The group isn't rich, but they do know how to get a crowd moving with their mixture of rock, soul, R&B and rockabilly. These four members who have played for years in other Lehigh Valley bands form a tightly knit unit.
Vocalist and harmonica player Joe Sparta is known for wearing hats and his soul-tinged energetic delivery. Guitarist Dave Evans adeptly handles intricate rock leads and funk riffs, while bassist Mark Buschi and drummer Sam Savoca add a driving rhythm that leads to dancing at their shows.
This is one of the Valley’s must see groups.

The bands tight rhythm section is made up by Sam Savoca (drums), Mark Buschi (bass), and Dave Evans (guitar), all of whom share vocal duties as well. Add the soul tinged delivery of front man Joe Sparta on lead vocals and harp, and you’ll understand why this band has built up a huge following. - Lehigh Valley Marketplace
The Trophy Husbands know their roots. After touring the Valley with previous outfits -- including Lucky 7 and the Daddy Licks Band -- the Husbands came together in 2004 through a shared love of musical styles and tastes.
The group released its first CD, "Between the Covers" in June. Response to the disc has stretched across the globe from Texas to Belgium, lead singer Joe Sparta says. But he quickly adds the band isn't heading to Europe just yet. "If that opportunity came up, it would be neat ... but we don't any visions of grandeur or anything." The band credits a wide array of musical styles -- from R&B and early Motown to classic rock and rockabilly music. The quartet describes its sound as a mixture of "eclectic rock and blues."
Their set list includes originals such as "One on One," "Soulin," "It is What It Is" and "In Time" are balanced with cuts from the Animals and Rolling Stones to Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley and others.
"What we play is what we like to play. What happens is we end up playing stuff no one else does, and the crowd loves it." Sparta says.

Bio
Back in the Spring of 2004 a group of four Lehigh Valley veteran musicians got together because they all loved R&B, Motown, Blues and those great One-Hit-Wonder songs. The band includes former members of Lucky 7, Steve Brosky Band, Daddy Licks and many others.
"Between The Covers" represents The Trophy Husbands' first foray into the studio together. The original songs spread across the genres from rockabilly to rock and soul to rock and roll. It reflects the member's diverse backgrounds while nailing that "Live, High Energy" vibe TTH is famous for.
