The Rough Boys

The Rough Boys was formed at 11:37 PM on Saturday May 2nd 2009. A night of hard drinking, jamming, and a do or die one time offer to open for the Gypsy Rebels in Kensington Market seven days later. During that week, the smooth jazz/blues jam sound the Boys had cultivated over past year was thrown to the dogs. Shedding their silky scales and swing, they mutated into a brutal Hard Rock war machine.
As the summer turned hotter, so did the gigs: Lola, Central, The Poor Alex Theater and Duffy's Tavern were all witness to the awesome spectacle was The Rough Boys in summer 09. Since then, The Rough Boys have further perfected their bone crushing sound, seriously extended their catalog of exclusively original material and played most major venues in Toronto: Lee's Palace, Opera House, The Mod Club, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Duke and have one 1rst place in 2 Battle of the Bands Preliminaries (Land Mark Events/Paragon). Fresh to order to any concert hall, bar, party or street corner comes fat rhythms, hot licks, and high octane cut-throat rock n' roll.
Personally delivered by the Boys; Alex "Crazy Licks" Bernier, Tommy "Stonewall" Gervais and Sam "Wildman" Greenland.
And each set starts the same:"Alright how you doin' out there? You ready for some REAL Rock N' ROLL!!!!?" They always are...
