Bio
The Outset formed in the summer of 2011 as the project of singer/songwriter John Coggins. After recruiting percussionist, Chris Wylie and bassist, Zach Kilburn they began collaborating, writing, rehearsing and recording. Guitarist Travis Loafman, joined the group shortly after their formation.
The Outset is a progressive, rock/pop group that strives for melodic, catchy and soulful harmonic progressions. They draw from a variety of musical influences, with extensive experience in jazz, classical and folk ensembles.
