The New Velvet takes DIY to a new level. Performing together since High School, The New Velvet has received recognition from reputable publications, performed at high end music festivals and they even engage in a series of videos featuring Youtube Sensations garnering over 2 million views combined. Their pop sound infused with infectious harmonies will continue to open doors for them going forward. Lush, dreamy, soulful, nutritious, and pop. These are the five words that the guys of The New Velvet would say define their music start to finish. Friends since High School, Dustin, Robby, Sheep, and Ben have been collaborating together, ultimately forming The New Velvet, one of the most popular up and coming bands ready to take over the airwaves. With thousands of fans worldwide, also known as ‘velveters,’ awaiting to see what they have in store next, this young but not amateur group has been touring nationwide, having shared the bill with artists such as the likes of; J.Cole, Natasha Bedingfield, and Plain White T’s just to name a few.
The bands recent collaborations with YouTube sensations Esmee Denters, Savannah Outen, and Alyssa Bernal have already drawn in millions of views. Not only has TNV created YouTube videos with other artists, but they have also released numerous videos, from an array of covers songs to original material of their own.
Even though some of their musical inspirations are John Mayer, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Maroon 5, Third Eye Blind, and Coldplay, TNV has collectively created music, which is a pleasant combination of all of those genres in one. Currently they are hard at work in the studio, looking to release either a single, EP, or album in the near future. In the mean time, they are going to continue to create more videos, while touring and performing, so be sure to look out for them in a city near you.
Having performed both internationally and domestically, from Ukraine for a special performance at a private Ecko Unlimited event, to performing at the Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands, TNV has just started to become a staple in the music industry.

The New Velvet is a band consisting of four friends, who’ve been
playing and performing together since high school. The band consists
of Dustin W (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Robby Tal (Guitar/Keys/Vocals), Ben
Antelis (Drums/Vocals), and Sheep (Bass/Keys/Vocals). Their
self-titled album, released in August 2011, has already been featured
on popular websites like Kingsofar.com, Sonicscoop, and Gobbler. They
are currently setting up shows around the US, preparing to solidify
their presence in the music industry. Only a year and a half ago, all
four members were in a rock band, touring around the US, and sharing
the bill with artists like Natasha Bedingfield, Plain White T’s, Evan
And Jaron, Brand New, Talib Kweli, J. Cole, P.O.S., and Max Bemis of
Say Anything. In addition, they have played at festivals such as,
Bamboozle and RutgersFest. Using the knowledge and experience they
have acquired from years of playing alongside national acts, recording
and traveling together, and being a self-contained writing team, they

The New Velvet is a band consisting of three friends who've been playing and performing together since high school. The band consists of Dustin Paul (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Ben Antelis (Drums/Vocals) and Robby Tal (Guitar/Keys/Vocals).
The New Velvet has toured around the US sharing the bill with artists such as Natasha Bedingfield, Plain White T's, Brand New, Talib Kweli, J. Cole, Say Anything and many more. They have also played festivals such as The Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands, RutgersFest, State Fairs and numerous other colleges and festivals.
As of recent, the band has partnered with international clothing brand Ecko Unltd. to perform at their annual corporate event in NYC with Chiddy Bang; In addition, the band was flown to Ukraine to give a special performance at a private Ecko Unltd event.
The New Velvet has spent time collaborating with various world-famous YouTube artists such as Alyssa Bernal, Esmee Denters, and Savannah Outen for a series of live in-studio acoustic videos. The videos have already reached over 8,000,000 views. The band prides itself in their home-grown Recording/Production/Videography of their live Youtube videos. They include covers of popular songs and more importantly their original material.
In late 2014, The New Velvet signed a publishing deal with The Royalty Network.
Using the knowledge and experience they have acquired from years of playing alongside international acts, recording and traveling together, and being a self-contained writing team, TNV continually release new content that creates a buzz on all social media platforms.
With their dreamy pop sound, lush four-part harmonies, and chest-pumping grooves, they birth songs that induce feelings of hope, love, and heartache. But it's really more than that; they do it all in their own way, with unique lyrics and melodies that all #Velveters know and love.
