'there is a lot of depth, both musically and lyrically'
'Expect to see more of those posters around because The Monster Show will try to squeeze in as much playing this
summer as they can.'
'The glowing reactions the Guelph/Waterloo quartet has
received whenever they’ve played has been particularly satisfying for Nicholls, who has been performing as a solo singer/songwriter around the area since the late ’90s.'

"The Monster Show remains a quintessential Canadian indie band: literate, humble, and above all unclassifiable"

'The first band of the night was The Monster Show. They are from Guelph and Waterloo, and oh my! did they ever impress me!'
'There is a real maturity to their sound that is incredibly rare to hear in such a new band.'

eloquent voices within the local
scene.”
- The Guelph Mercury- January, 2009
" I recommend The Monster Show to anyone who likes blues guitar, I recommend this band to anyone who loves country. It is suggested you listen to The Monster Show if you love slow songs, poetic lyrics, banjo picking, piano, driving around and listening to an 80's rock radio station, and/or telling ghost stories around a bonfire ... I recommend this album to anyone"

Bio
Ethos:
The Monster Show is an indie-rock collective who found each other when they all worked in a travelling circus. Putting aside their acrobatic lion-taming and clowning, these four brought their love of music to the forefront and began writing. Some of the songs are loud and some of them are quiet, and all of them try to connect the dots of everyday life in a way that offers some insight and maybe, if they're lucky, resembles something beautiful.
Shows:
The band has played extensively around southern Ontario since 2008.
Here are some highlights:
Hillside Festival 2008
Winter Lights & Music 2008
NXNE 2009
East Coast Tour 2009 (including: The Black Sheep, Baba's, Gus', The Mansion, The Green Room)
Hamilton Music Scene 2010
