The best kept secret in music

My first encounter with The Jox was a meeting that defied my expectations.
(...)
Their set consisted of well-crafted original songs that showed depth and maturity beyond the years of such young songwriters. They are solid and well rehearsed musicians, and their lyrical content was insightful, genuine, and personal. Even after a year, having only heard it once, I often remember Megan's voice singing "...never grew into these legs," from a song she wrote about the awkwardness of growing up.
The Jox were as engaging off-stage as well as they were on-stage. They are very approachable, and spent quite a lot of time getting to know people who had come to the show. I found them to be very personable and candid. They were as eager to make new friends as they were to visit with old ones. This reciprocal relationship with their fans is reflexive of their approach to music. Their music speaks to like-minded and community-driven individuals who are working together for the greater good.
The Jox released a 5-song EP called "Silly World" in 2008, and have recently been out in Colorado putting the finishing touches on their upcoming full-length album "Tumble Weed", which is slated for release in April 2009.

Bio
The Mild Manner, formerly known as 'The Jox' are a free spirited Modern Western Folk Band hailing from a very small town in Northwest Kansas. Although, many times you can find this musical family living out of their renovated school bus where ever they are touring. Comprised of husband and wife team Ryan and Megan Jox, along with the help of the a few other friends. Each member of 'The Mild Manner' has been playing since their youth, Megan growing up singing speicals in church and Ryan watching his father play guitar and then picking it up for himself at the age of 10.
In 2003 Megan and Ryan met as they formed their first band, Arceum in Dallas Texas, then in 2006 the two exchanged vows and began their own band, 'The Jox'. Few can compare the melodic sounds of the now, 'The Mild Manner' to any other indie band out there. Their sound appeals to all ages and no matter your musical prefrence.
Since forming, the group has played over 30 states and 100 cities and counting.
Currenlty, the duo has released a couple of pieces of their work all available on itunes, 2008 Silly World Ep, 2010 Tumbleweed full length, and 2011 'The Mild Manner Vol. .5' Ep. The team also continues to travel the United States playing for all who take the time to listen.
