The Mad Hatters were formed in February 2009. We are a unique group of individuals who all bring something to the table. Mike Leary is an unbelievable singer and a front-man extraordinaire. His influences include Dave Mattews, Stevie Wonder, and Led Zeppelin. He can be stylistically compared to a combination between Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury. Nick DeFeo is a funk/jazz bass player who never holds back. His influences include The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Captain Beefhart. He sounds like the funkiest man alive. Mike Brenner is the lead guitarist. He is greatly influenced by The Grateful Dead, Phish, and Air. His style channels the energy of Northern Indian Raga composers. Zach Magee plays the drums with the energy of a lion. He is influenced by CCR and String Cheese Incident. Elise Fransisco sings vocals. She has one of those voices that sends a shiver down your spine at the top ranges and has the soothing power to calm in the mid range. The Mad Hatters band together.
